SAPPORO IGLOOFEST CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES (“RULES”)
1. Sponsor. The Sapporo Igloofest Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Sleeman Breweries Ltd. (“Sponsor”).
2. Contest Period: The Contest will begin at 12:01 am ET on November 1st, 2025, and closes at 11:59 PM ET on January 15th, 2026 (the “Contest Period”).
3. Prizes. There are two (2) Prizes available to be won. Each Prize consists of an Igloofest 2026 VIP experience (ARV $1,000 each). One (1) prize is available to be won in Quebec, and one (1) prize is available to be won in Ontario.
4. Chances of winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. Eligibility and Conditions. The Contest is open to residents of Ontario and Quebec who are of legal drinking age in their province of residence at the time of entry. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Contest is not open to: (a) employees, agents, or representatives of the Sponsor, and any business, company, fiduciary or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated with the Sponsor, their promotional agencies, the Prize supplier, as well as the immediate family members (brothers, sisters, children, parents) or spouses of the foregoing, or any person with whom the foregoing are domiciled (the “Contest Parties”); or (b) provincial liquor licensees and their employees.
The provincial liquor agencies are not connected with this Contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in any way whatsoever with respect to any matter related to this Contest.
6. Entry with purchase of one case of specially marked cases of Sapporo beer. An entry is made by completing and submitting an entry form, including the correct answer to a math skill-testing question, together with the PIN code from the specially marked case of Sapporo beer available for sale in Ontario and Quebec, at SAPPOROCONTEST.CA (the “Contest Website”).
7. No purchase entry. To participate in the Contest without purchasing a case of Sapporo beer, mail a legible, handwritten, original letter of at least one hundred fifty (150) words explaining why you would like to win the Prize, accompanied by your name, age, address (including city or town and postal code), email address, and telephone number (with area code), to “Sapporo Igloofest Contest”, Sleeman Breweries, 4260 rue Garand, Laval, QC H7L 5Z6. Upon validation of the letter, a PIN code will be sent to you which may be submitted to the Contest Website. You may submit one (1) letter per day during the Contest Period, with different text for each letter. Letters may be mailed until ten (10) days before the end of the Contest Period (see section 2 of these Contest Rules).
8. Prize Draw. A random draw will be held at approximately 2pm ET on January 16th, 2026, at the Sponsor’s offices (“Prize Draw Date”) from among all eligible entries received.
9. Selection of Entrants. The Sponsor will make a maximum of three (3) attempts to contact the selected entrants by phone or email within three (3) business days of the Prize Draw Date. If the selected entrants cannot be contact within three (3) attempts or three (3) business days of the Prize Draw Date (whichever occurs first), or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, then the selected entrants will be disqualified (and will forfeit all right to the Prize), and the Sponsor reserves the right in its absolute and sole discretion, to randomly select (an) alternate eligible entrants from among the remaining eligible entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant(s)). The selected entrant may be required to provide proof of age and to sign and return a waiver and release form within the time period required by the Sponsor.
If the selected entrant (i) does not comply with these Contest rules; (ii) has not provided the correct answer to the skill-testing question; or (iv) does not claim the Prize according to section 10, or (iii) refuses the Prize, then the selected entrant may not be declared a winner.
10. Prize Conditions. The following general conditions apply to each prize, and to each winner: Acceptance of Prize.
a) Each Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not subject to transfer, exchange, or substitution for an award of cash or otherwise, except that the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any Prize, in whole or in part, for another prize of equivalent or greater value if any Prize is not available for any reason whatsoever.
b) Sponsor reserves the right at any time to place reasonable restrictions on the availability or use of the Prize or any component thereof and substitute the Prize or a component thereof for any reason with a prize or a prize component of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award.
c) Sponsor makes no representation and offers no warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Prize.
d) If the winner does not utilize any part(s) of the Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized will be forfeited in its (their) entirety and nothing will be substituted in its (their) place.
e) By accepting the Prize, the winner agrees to waive all recourse against the Contest Parties (see Rule 13 below) (i) if the Prize or a component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part, and (ii) relating to his/her participation in the Prize.
f) By accepting the Prize, the winner agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of the selected entrant's name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Sponsor in connection with the Contest in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet.
11. Contest Rules and Sponsor Decisions. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and decisions of the Sponsor, which are final.
12. Personal Information. By entering this Contest, entrants’ consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information for the purposes of administering the Contest and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy available on the Contest Website.
13. Limitations of Liability. Without limiting the release referenced in section 10 above, and for greater certainty, the Contest Parties will not be liable for: a) any incomplete or inaccurate information, whether caused by Contest Website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or used in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries; b) the theft, loss, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries or the Contest Website; c) any problems with, or technical malfunctions of, telephone networks or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs; d) any failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by or from the Sponsor for any reason including but not limited to traffic congestion on the Internet or on any website or combination thereof; e) damage to an entrant’s or other person’s system occasioned by participation or uploading or downloading of materials in this Contest; or (f) any use of the entrant’s personal information as set out in section 11.
14. Indemnification. All entrants and all persons attempting to participate in the Contest hereby indemnify the Contest Parties against any damage or loss they may sustain in connection with their participation in, or attempt to participate in, the Contest.
15. Errors. Any PIN codes containing or presenting errors will be cancelled. Under no circumstances will the Sponsor be required to distribute more Prizes than indicated in these Contest Rules.
16. Right to Cancel, Suspend or Modify. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest at any time, without notice, if a factor disrupts the proper conduct of the Contest, consistent with these Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest in the case of error, particularly in production, distribution or printing, or the occurrence of any other event giving rise to claims exceeding the number of Prizes contemplated under these Rules.
17. Applicable Laws. These Contest rules are subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
